The Repair Kid Recycling Project Encourages Kids to Turn Old into New

'Repair Kid' is an inventive recycling project by Cis Deyl, who travels to festivals, markets and schools in a big camper van and gives kids the chance to take apart broken tech devices with tools, for the purposes of creating something new.

The project targets kids between the ages of six and 13, and helps them become familiar with tools, gain an understanding of what's inside machines, how to take things apart, as well as that old objects don't always have to be thrown out after they are no longer useful for their intended purpose.

Kids are encouraged to come up with new inventions and artwork from the recycled objects, and the results are always wildly creative—most adults could definitely learn from this kind of inventiveness when it comes to reusing and recycling.
