This Aldi UK Recyclable Freezer Bag is Launching at More Than 230 Stores

The new Aldi UK recyclable freezer bag is being launched by the brand at more than 230 stores in the UK to offer consumers an eco-friendly way to store their shopping that is positioned as a better option to single-use plastics.

The bag features a fully recyclable construction that is achieved with 95% polyethylene along with 5% seafood waste to make it the only own-brand recyclable bag of its kind. Priced at 99p, the bags are also treated with an antimicrobial agent to help keep them cleaner than other options on the market.

Plastics and Packaging Director at Aldi UK Chris McKenry spoke on the new Aldi UK recyclable freezer bag saying, "It’s more important than ever to strike a balance between reducing single-use plastic and maintaining food hygiene. Thanks to its antimicrobial qualities, this recyclable freezer bag enables us to continue on our mission to eradicate unnecessary non-recyclable materials while also offering customers a more hygienic way of storing and transporting food."
