Created by Dutch designer Maarten Baas, this real time clock hangs in Amsterdam's Schiphol airport.
The clock is three meters wide and is not actually a clock but a 12-hour video that plays on a loop and displays the time accurately. The real time clock was inspired by the "faceless men" who work at the airport wearing blue overalls and the clock looks as though one of these men has climbed into it and is constantly adjusting the hands of the clock with paint. The large screen plays this 12-hour video in unison with the real time, making the video look like a clock with a man stuck inside that is working hard to tell the time.
This clock was designed in the hopes that it would create a new iconic sight for the Netherlands and it does just that.
