Rainforest Protection Skyscrapers

The Rainforest Guardian is Proposed to Protect the Amazon

Rainforest protection is extremely important these days, as 3% of the Amazon has been damaged due to fire over the past decade. A group of Chinese architects have come together and proposed the Rainforest Guardian Skyscraper to help provide aid to the area when in need.

The skyscraper would also be used as a research tower, and protect the rainforest from drought as well. Inside the tower is reserves that the building collects in the rainy season and stores for later use. When a fire or drought hits, the water could then be transported to various areas in pod-like structures. The proposed design could also glean data from the area for scientists to use and study the wildlife and vegetation. Photo Credits: designboom, evolo.us
