Oliver Vitry's Rainbow Lighting is a project inspired by the stained glass windows in a church. The designer began visiting a church at the start of the pandemic, becoming his muse for Rainbow Lighting. Therefore, the project is a physical representation of Vitry's perspective of life at that time.
The lamp consists of one transparent glass tube and another sandblasted glass tube. Joined together, each one counts nine slits where one or more different colored and sized filters are inserted. Made from colored glass waste, the filters create a stained-glass effect. Soft light is cast upwards from the lower part of the tubes. In addition, users can choose and install different filters to become the artist of their own Rainbow Lighting.
