The Sanaa Train by Seibu Railway Company is Designed Using Reflective Glass

Seibu Railway Company is working towards the creation of a virtually invisible urban train for the city of Japan that will be designed using reflective glass. The glass will surround the train's cylindric exterior at all angles to create a seemingly undetectable transportation device as it moves from station to station. The use of reflective glass renders the focus back onto the landscape, by allowing the transportation to move through the space undetectable.

The design of the train is spearheaded by Kazuyo Sejima who often uses reflective glass as a main material in engineering projects. The urban train will be an express service offering an intimate setting similar to a living room for riders to spend leisurely time in while travelling.
