The Raf Simons Blazers Are Structures

Raf Simons' harness blazers provide a lesson in structured tailoring. While designers have taken in fabric at the waist and chest area to add definition to the body, Simons has shown off shape with a saddle-like design.

The Belgian fashion icon and creative director at Dior has altered the menswear and womenswear experience. Although an industrial design student, his apprenticeship with Martin Margiela and Jean-Paul Gaultier exposed him to the ways of couture.

Luxirare's founder suggests using the harness as an accessory piece. She hangs it over a graphic print tank top in place of solid black or white shirts, adding further dimension to the straps. The look is at the same time toned down with Adidas track pants.
