Rdio's Radio Streaming is Reaching 24 New Countries Thanks to Digicel

In an effort to bring radio streaming to more countries globally, Rdio is teaming up with the Digicel Group. The Caribbean operator will allow the streaming service to expand into 24 new countries. This news follows an announcement last week that Rdio would also be expanding into India. This brings the service to a total of 85 markets internationally.

Digicel will be offering its 14 million customers half an hour of access to the free radio streaming everyday without any data charges. The free Internet radio service will reach less-tech savvy costumers in India, thanks to a partnership with Cumulus. Thus far there is no indication as to when the free access will end. Consumers could also sign-up for a payed account at Rdio.
