Quirky Recycled Lighting

Bright Ideas Turn Found Objects Into Fun Lamps

Rene Hinds takes found objects to create these off-the-wall lamps. She uses kitchen equipment, car parts, old urns, cameras and other such garage sale items to make lighting that you definitely won't find in a department store.

Each piece is obviously a one of a kind sculpture and fittingly, the prices are mostly in the $400 range. However, the desk lamp featuring an antique Remington typewriter has a $2,350 price ticket.

Implications - There is nothing more exciting and interesting in art than an artist who takes garbage materials and turns them into something new, brilliant and practical. Hinds' out of the box lamps are a fun-filled innovation which will have you guessing what they're made of every step of the way.
