QueerTech Has Quickly Grown to an Influential Player

QueerTech started out as a meeting group, in partnership with MontrealNewTech. Its mandate was to "surface and connect fellow LGBTQ+ (Queer_ professionals within the local tech industry." This push for inclusivity and diversity is absolutely necessary when considering how male-dominated the industry is.

Within two short years, QueerTech was able to fully legitimize its presence as a non-profit organization, whose headquarters are in Montreal. At its core, QueerTech is committed to inclusivity, helpfulness, pride, and accessibiilty. In its short span of existence, the organization has already partnered with high-profile companies such as Microsoft Canada who is quoted to have said "We continue to partner with QueerTech to create opportunities for LGBTQ2S+ members of the tech industry to connect, collaborate, succeed and thrive together. Our partnership with QueerTech is a necessary bridge to the LGBTQ2S+ community, and scaling-up its capacity would mean that companies like us can have greater engagement and impact with the LGBTQ2S+ tech community in regions across Canada."
