Plugable Launched a New Four-Monitor Adapter for M1 and M2 Macs

Plugable launched the 'USB Quad HDMI Adapter' for M1 and M2 Mac devices, though it will work with most devices that support video output over USB connections. The adapter features four HDMI ports, each capable of outputting a maximum resolution of 1080p at a 60hz refresh rate, which is more than enough for professional use cases.

The Quad HDMI Adapter connects to a computer via USB-C natively, or USB-3 with an included adapter. It is important to note that only USB-C, USB4, Thunderbolt 3/4, and USB 3.0 can support video output, and this is still dependent on the operating system of the device.

Plugable's Quad HDMI Adapter requires a driver installation that will automatically be performed when inserted to most devices. However, if this does not occur, the driver must be found online to fully support the USB HDMI hub. The adapter is available now from Amazon for $119 USD, though this can be reduced to $109 with an automatic $10-off coupon.
