The QBee Connected Home System Was Unveiled At CES 2015

The QBee is a fully loaded connected home package, developed by Taiwanese company Askey, that was introduced at CES 2015. This system functions as a centralized media hub thanks to its high-tech camera and array of smart switches and functions. It is also capable of doing everything from monitoring temperature and lighting to remotely switching on appliances.

The Qbee's core component is the 'Gateway', a wireless-equipped Android hard drive that is capable of storing and accessing media files and apps. This technology allows users to quickly and easily access media apps such as Netflix and enjoy access to a wide variety of content beyond just their personal media library.

The Qbee also has a camera that detects movement, light, noise, humidity and temperature.

The new Qbee range will be launched in the third quarter of 2015, with devices ranging from $300 to $500 depending on the hardware chosen.
