These homemade Pusheen donuts were created to celebrate the cartoon cat's birthday last week. While many people are probably familiar with Pusheen thanks to Facebook, the animated feline also has her own blog. The recipe comes from Courtney at the food blog Fork to Belly.
If you love donuts and cat gifs (basically if you are an avid Internet user), you can make your own Pusheen donuts at home. The cat appearance is made by sticking almonds into donut holes to create ears and a face, and then placing them back into the middle of a donut. The piping requires a significant amount of skill, so this recipe is probably unsuitable for novice bakers. The vanilla bean cake donuts are adapted from Hummingbird High.
