Auto-Reply Sports Campaigns

The Puma Forever Faster Campaign Eggs on Troublemakers

The Puma Forever Faster campaign puts out a call to all troublemakers and of course, tons of users on the Internet were happy to cause some mischief.

The campaign asks Twitter users to send out a tweet using the #foreverfaster tag, and in response, an auto-generated messaging service replies to users with a message with their name that looks like an athlete's signed autograph card. However, there were some true troublemakers that began taking advantage of the automated nature of the Forever Faster responses, and began sending out tweets from lewd usernames. Meaning that the messages automatically sent out turned out to be more troubling than inspiring, including ones like "Cocaine, couldn't do it without you," where the name of the person was swapped out for a drug.
