Samppa Von Cyborg (which I assume is a stage name) is the leader of a London-based performance group called the Psycho Cyborgs. Their name seems quite suiting if you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing one of their acts which contains stunts involving screws, needles, hooks, electrical currents and drills. If you’re lucky, you may even witness them pull out their breast skewers. How lovely.
Their acts may be routine for them, but I wouldn’t recommend that you make a family trip out of it. They recreate the feeling of watching a bloody slasher film - the only difference between that and watching the Psycho Cyborgs perform is that when the Cyborgs do it, they do it for real.
The earliest incarnation of the Cyborgs featured seven members, with the goal of making the audience feel they were watching a brutal horror film – only played out for real on stage, literally in the flesh.
