The fantastical mind of artist Gary Mind has brought another awe-inspiring project of fantasy and whimsy.
Mind’s new project for Arjowiggins is entitled ‘Curious Matter.’ It’s a collection of papered wardrobes designed as creatures of fantasy that "reflect a theme of metamorphosis." The story behind the photographs is that a potato waste metamorphasizes into a sentient being and encounters a phoenix.
Mind uses a multitude of Arjowiggins ‘Creative Papers’ to create the costumes and sets for his fanciful project. The process of creating the elaborate paper designs involved numerous cuttings and weaving of the paper. Mind used several types of paper materials to create the designs, which allowed him to compose various constructions. The paper project took several months to be finalized.
