Tablet gaming is about to get a shot in the arm thanks to Razer's Project Fiona. Razer's Fiona is a conceptual gaming tablet designed to make tablet-based video games actually play like they're supposed to.
While existing gaming tablets offer plenty of enjoyment, there is only so much you can do with swipe and tilt controls. Project Fiona comes with two handles/controllers, each with its own analog stick and eight buttons. The tablet comes fully equipped with Intel Core i7 CPU, a 10.1″ 1280×800 touchscreen and Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The tablet also features Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
Razer's tablet also makes use of motion controls with its accelerometer, magnetometer and a 3-axis gyro and controllers that provide force-feedback. There is a stark divide between handheld gaming systems and PC games. A device such as Project Fiona could successfully bridge the gap between the two.
