The kit was built to help parents divide adult-sized pills into a size suitable for kids in the developing world. Since pills are often very expensive, dividing pills up is often a necessity.
The Project Dose kit lets parents split pills up and then repackage them into their mini equivalents. This is a necessity because buying adult sizes is often more cost effective than buying child doses.
The kit includes a metal crusher, plastic scraper and a divider. Using the crusher, you can pulverize a pill into a fine powder. That powder can then be scraped into the divider using the plastic scraper. The divider seals up with an adhesive and has pull tabs to release medication for each day.
