Tod Seelie's New Series Pays Homage to the 1920s

Taking us on a journey through the dark heart of New York City in the 1920s, this haunting, and mystical prohibition photography series shows us an eerie world that is both enchanting, and historical.

Captured by Brooklyn-based photographer Tod Seelie, the prohibition photography series is made up of only ten images. Focusing on structure, and architecture, the stunning images were taken as part of a project to launch the new Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition of blended scotch whiskey.

The images of the series were meant to take on the spirit of the era to pay homage to it, and what it went to bore later on, and Seelie's work did it perfectly. Full of enchantment, and tainted mystery, the photos look, and feel authentic -- even with the modern touches like graffiti-stained walls.
