Amazon has finally released its new drone delivery service entitled Prime Air that leverages the power of autonomous drones to drop off parcels to consumers. The custom-designed drones will be able to carry packages weighing up to five pounds in less than 30-minutes to the consumer.
The Prime Air drones slightly diverge in design from traditional drones, taking inspiration more so from planes with a larger size to accommodate parcel weight. The robots are decked out in the Prime Air colors of blue, orange and white and they are self-piloted allowing the brand to send them instantaneously to consumers. The drones fly from the warehouses up to 15-miles in distance to deliver the packages quickly to the consumer.
