Vegan-Friendly Outerwear

This Parka is Made from Recycled Primaloft Insulation and Ripstop Nylon

Brooklyn-based outerwear company 'Vaute' is selling a vegan-friendly coat made from recycled Primaloft insulation and recycled ripstop nylon. While animal-based materials are often chosen for their warmth, Vaute has found a way to make synthetic materials just as cozy.

The 'Lincoln' is a stylish parka made from high-ethics materials that are 100 percent vegan and recycled. The outside of the jacket is coated with recycled Teijin ripstop nylon, which is water-proof, wind-proof and snow-resistant. To keep consumers warm, the inside is lined with recycled Primaloft insulation, which is the same material used by arctic explorers. This material also has the advantaged of providing warmth without adding the bulk associated with goose down.

By using recycled materials and ethical production methods, the Lincoln offers consumers a sustainable alternative to other outerwear.
