The Prima Materia Exhibition is a Design Paradise for Carnivores

Italian designer duo Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Formafantasma revisit their former pieces of art at The Prima Materia exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands. Their displays feature fish skin stools, lights made from cow bladders and plastic made from beetles.

The exhibition is divided into two parts, with videos, material samples and sketches surrounding the entrance, with the finished works featured in the main space.

The exhibition features four years worth of experiments inspired by strange and new materials like baking tableware from food ingredients and creating usable products made from food waste. The displays stretch further to Moulding Tradition, their Design Academy Eindhoven graduation project and Charcoal, charcoal inserts that purify tap water.

Complete collections were also featured including Botanica, an experimentation of natural polymers, boar-fur brushes, fish-skin hot water bottles and even water containers made from inflated cow bladders were on display.
