This Prefab Dwelling Designed by Barchitects Took 5 Hours to Build

This prefab dwelling only took five hours to put up. Produced by Barchitects over a four month period in Madrid, Casa Montana is a family home located in the Asturias area of Spain. The 1076 square foot two-story house has a slate roof and wood cladding.

The prefab dwelling is a more environmentally conscious option as the short construction period results in a smaller carbon footprint. Corrugated metal decking and whitewashed steel I-beams give the interior of the abode an industrial yet clean aesthetic. It also has an open floor plan, which also contributed to the short erection time. Casa Montana was designed to be quickly taken down as well, so if the owners decide to move they can take the house with them.
