The Pow Wow 13 Art Movement Features Some Incredible Talent

Married artist couple DALest and Faith47 contribute to Pow Wow 13, which is a yearly contemporary art movement in Hawaii.

The couple contribute these avian-inspired pieces, which depict two intricately executed drawings of birds. The first mimics the appearance of a wired sculpture, which looks so realistic that it appears to be literally flying off of the building. The metal exterior gives the bird a sinister and devious appearance and the speckles of metal falling off it displays the ferocity in which the bird is flapping its wings. When you view the painting head on, it is hard to believe it is not a 3D image. It is only when you view from other perspectives that you realize it is in fact painted on the wall.
