Michael Birken's Post-It Videos Present a Homage to Classics

Everyone spends their time differently: some people might spend 925,600 minutes making ceramic dolls while others will spend it by making retro video game post-it videos.

Michael Birken is the latter. Birken created a stop-motion video to pay homage to his two favorite old school Nintendo games. He used 4,800 Post-it notes to re-create the two 8-bit video games, which took him 96 days spread out over 11 months to finalize his project. The video has 5,722 image stills and was created using stop-motion photography.

The video showcases extraordinary footage of Pac-man and Mario in all their gaming splendor.

One can only imagine what possessed Birken to invest all his time in creating these awesome Post-it videos. No matter what process he used to create this video, it's a nice homage to classic Nintendo titles.
