44KW in Shanghai Introduces Safety Measures After Reopening

Nightlife in China gives us a good idea of what the post-COVID night club looks like—from disposable cups to readily available disinfectant.

One of the establishments that has notably reopened is 44KW—an electronic music club located in the financial hub of Shanghai. The business opened its doors in mid-March when lockdown restrictions in China began to ease for citizens. Admittedly, it took the club a while to "get back to normal."

The post-COVID night club experience now includes temperature checks for all customers. Patrons are also required to register their details in case they need to be contacted. All 44KW staff is required to wear masks and gloves at all times. Although this is not mandatory for guests—many of them do wear protective equipment, as well. Glasses have been replaced with plastic cups, hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed throughout. The club is disinfected every day before and after opening, while door handles and toilets are sanitized every hour.
