Veggie-Infused Gins

This Limited-Edition Portobello Road Gin is Made with an Infusion of Asparagus

Notting Hill-based gin brand Portobello Road created this limited-edition of asparagus-infused gin. This creative new gin is distilled with the vegetable asparagus, which was hand-picked picked from the Cambridge area this past June.

The asparagus gin, which is named Directors Cut was created using only the thinnest pieces of asparagus due to the intense flavor. Along with the asparagus, the gin contains numerous botanicals such as orange peel, casia bark and gentian root.

The aromatic and flavorful gin was carefully crafted by master blender Jake Burger. Directors Cut is set to hit shelves for consumer purchase in October 2015. This limited-edition bottle of gin is set to release only 1,000 units. This unique version of Portobello Road's dry gin is a creative way to combine veggies and booze in one cohesive collaboration.
