Flatpack Portable Shelters

These Shelters Were Designed for Emergency Situations

This portable shelter concept was created in response to the worsening natural disasters and conflicts that have resulted in the mass displacement of human beings around the world.

The shelters were designed by Hakan Gursu and are able to house a family of four -- with 4 single beds, a bathroom, a functional kitchen, dining and storage spaces that are able to fold out for practical use. The portable shelters have a flatpack design that allows several of them to be transported at once with ease.

This shelter concept is one that could potentially avoid the many risks, both emotional and physical, of living without adequate shelter during times of crises and conflict.
