Hybrid Hypercar Successor Concepts

The Porsche 918 S Concept is Inspired by the Mission E Sedan

The Porsche 918 S concept gets its roots from two very real and very different cars. That would be the 918 Spyder hybrid hypercar and the Mission E electric sports sedan. Designer Aksyonov Nikita's concept car is an attempt to marry these two vehicles to create a successor for the 918. Porsche only made 918 examples of its soon-to-be-iconic hypercar, but that hasn't stopped Nikita from dreaming what a successor would look like and where it would take inspiration from.

The front end of the Porsche 918 S concept looks very similar to the Mission E, with the headlights and powerful flared fenders pulled directly from the concept EV. Around back the design is more similar to the current 918's look, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as the Mission E isn't built primarily for performance. While the Porsche 918 S concept will never see production it could serve as an inspiration for the brand's future eco-friendly supercars.
