These Popakademie Ads Picks Apart Rap, Rock, Pop and Techno Music

The Popakademie is a University of Popular Music and Music Business and these charts studying rap, rock, techno and pop songs are spot on with their analyses. The charts make funny observations about music, like a comparison between ratio of DJs to fans from 1993 to today, the numbers of "rappers representing the hood," versus those actually "living in the hood," as well as a Venn diagram that helps to categorize some of the most well-known musical artists of yesterday and today.

The ads are simple, colorful and for a series of circular charts that have been "scientifically analyzed" by the Popakademie, they're all actually quite playful and pretty humorous. The witty series of print ads were created for the institution by the DDB Tribal Group, based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
