Traveling Container Hotels

The Pop Up Hotel Moves Around the World

Norwegian entrepreneur Geoffrey Stampaert brings the idea of the pop up hotel to a whole other level with the 'Sleeping Around' concept. The hotel is made up of seven refurbished shipping containers, four of which are rooms. The containers are located in a cluster which comprises a lounge, dining area, a sauna and a kitchen. Utilizing the mobility of the containers, the hotel will travel around the world popping up in different cities worldwide according to user input demand.

This is the latest example of re-purposed shipping containers. Mr. Stampaert is also a restaurateur as well as a known hotelier. With Sleeping Around he hopes to "expand the ideas of luxury, design, adventure and comfort." The hotel is currently located in Antwerp, Belgium.
