Color Blocked Backdrop Editorials

The Pop Front: A New Ghesquiere Girl Photoshoot is Bright

The Pop Magazine editorial titled Pop Front: A New Ghesquiere Girl will be featured in the publication's Autumn/Winter 2014 edition. Models Gwen Lu and Mona Matsuoka posed for the rather colorful series, a product of the solid red and yellow backdrops that were placed behind the duo.

Photographer Harley Weir did an excellent job of contrasting the bright walls with the apparel pairings of stylist Vanessa Reid. In spite of the bold nature of the scenes, Weir kept the ensembles noticeably dark with black leather tights, dark floral patterns and a series of subdued 1970s looks.

Weir contributed to the unusual motifs present in Pop Front: A New Ghesquiere Girl with up close shots of both Lu and Matsuoka, seen in snapshots of their chins and noses.
