Iconic anime monster Pikachu has evolved once again and this time it is into a massive mosaic masterpiece constructed out of an extravagant amount of Pokémon cards.
In celebration of Pokémon's 20th anniversary, British artist Quentin Devine has captured the lovable anime monster in a towering mosaic made of 12,987 individual Pokémon trading cards. Pikachu is seen in his original pose as drawn by Ken Sugimori and stands at 32 feet tall and 23 feet wide, making this masterpiece far more impressive than Devine's penny-based mosaic of Queen Elizabeth II and his mosaic of Mona Lisa, made entirely of self-portraits.
With over 12,000 Pokémon cards used, this colossal masterpiece has set a new record for trading card mosaic art.
