Ivan Handoko’s Pokemon Origami Creations Look Like the Real Thin

Ivan Handoko is a 19-year-old Indonesian origami designer who has created some incredibly intricate Pokemon origami creations.

Ivan Handoko origami designs take the form of many well-known Pokemons from the popular video game and anime series. From the incredibly popular Pokemons, Pikachu and Charizard to lesser known Pokemons like Gengar, Evee and Slowpoke, Handoko’s Pokemon origami puts a modern twist on an ancient tradition.

Creating any kind of 3D origami artwork is hard, but to capture the incredibly detailed likeness of Pokemon takes true talent. While the colored paper Handoko uses aids in identifying which Pokemon is which, it’s his intricate folding techniques he uses and the skills he possesses that make his origami Pikachu and origami Charizard look the real deals.

When I was a kid I always wanted my own Pokemon but I’m perfectly happy to settle with Pokemon origami in the mean time.
