PODS by Danielle Tay, a Singaporean artist currently studying in London, England, may look like igloos from the outside, especially when lit with the eerie blue light as though the exhibit were simulating a cold night in the arctic, but they house more than just snow and ice. In fact, there is no snow or ice in sight. Instead, visitors are invited to explore inside to experience various environments.
An immersive art installation, PODS by Danielle Tay consists of several half-dome structures that offer a stronger feeling of warmth inside. This is due in large part to the use of woods, fabrics and other materials than portray more hospitable atmospheres.
