The PlyFly Go-Kart is a flat-pack vehicle that can be assembled in only a few hours but is capable of hitting speeds of up to 40 km/h courtesy its gasoline-powered engine.
The kart comes in two varieties, a 2.50-horsepower machine and a 4-horsepower version. These karts offer top speeds of 27 and 40 km/h respectively. The engines are 4-stroke Hondas that were assembled in China but do meet American emissions requirements.
In terms of construction, the PlyFly Go-Kart is made from 0.75-inch-thick Baltic Birch plywood and measures 40 x 23 x 56.5 inches. It ships in a three-box package and takes five hours to assemble with basic tools, assuming you're not completely useless with a toolbox.
Considering that this is a flatpack contraption, it's pretty impressive to see that it has rack and pinion steering, an adjustable seat, a smartphone mount for capturing action video footage. Who said flatpack was just for furniture?
