Deceptively Floating Lampshades

The Plummage Lamp by Axo Light is Contemporarily Sculptural

The Plummage Lamp is named so for the abstract diffusers that make up the lampshade. Although the shape looks as though it were inspired by a bird in the middle of preening itself, there is an illusory quality to the design that will have people wondering how each panel is attached to the body. The Plummage Lamp looks as though it were floating thanks to the power of magnets. In reality, the diffusers are secured via thin wireframe.

Designed by Axo Light, the Plummage Lamp is also made out of fabric that has been covered with flame retardant Trevira CS. It is available in both floor and ceiling models and comes in seven different colors (white, green, grey, red, brown, orange and fuchsia) or a choice of multihued panels.
