Envion Transforms Plastic Waste into Oil

Washington-based company Envion may have the Midas touch when it comes to plastic trash. The company has developed a way to turn plastic waste into oil -- something that is extremely relevant with today’s crude oil scarcity and the fact that in the US, only 4% of the 48 million tonnes of plastic waste gets recycled!

Envion divulges little information about how it manages to turn plastic waste into oil, but does reveal that the Envion Oil Generator can produce more than 50,000 barrels of oil in a year, and that it involves the extraction of the hydrocarbons from plastic as well as thermal cracking in a vacuum.
