3D Chalk-Block Battles

Planet Streetpainting Created a LEGO Version of Terracotta Army of China

The Netherlands-based street art group called Planet Streetpainting participated in the Sarasota Chalk Festival in Florida for Pavement Art Through the Ages by creating a mesmerizing 3D LEGO art illustration. Instead of using LEGO's conventional bricks, this group used chalk to represent the famous Terracotta Army of China.

This remarkable gang of artists is known for creating gigantic 3D and 2D chalk art. For the festival, they decided to stick with what they do best and the result is captivating because of the piece's optical illusion and vibrant colors. This LEGO battle has everything from horses to warriors, all depicted with incredible detail.

Planet Streetpainting's art director Leon Keer is a believer of connecting history and historical events to the present through art. This illustration will be in Sarasota, Florida until November 7th, 2011.
