Killer Medieval Cushions

Matthew Borgatti's Pillow Mace Was Created for a Flash Mob Fight

If you have an affinity for old-school, medieval weapons but don't want to accidentally poke an eye out in your own home, perhaps you'd be interested in fashioning your own Pillow Mace. Or perhaps you'll be participating in a flash mob pillow fight in the near future and need some interesting ideas for a cushion to arm yourself with.

That's pretty much what Matthew Borgatti did when he created the Pillow Mace. Designed to be used during the 2011 New York City pillow fight flash mob, Borgatti decided to go all out and not just bring a lame pillow from his bed.

The Pillow Mace was made using a yard of cushion foam and two bags of poly fill. I like the choice of a floral pattern fabric, which offsets the ferocity of the Pillow Mace slightly.
