American Photographer Kiyun Captures Racial Remarks

Korean American photographer Kiyun has taken her passion for social justice and photography and come up with the Racial Micoaggression photo series.

Many have unfortunately fallen victim to some form of "minor" or casual racism. Kiyun has taken those unfortunate stories and not so small remarks into consideration for her newest series featuring a range of individuals representing various races and the micro aggressions they've faced. Asking each participant to hold up a board of the most recent comment directed at them, photographer Kiyun captures the hurt and the bigger picture rarely recognized by the individual who utters these remarks.

Kiyun is a social justice activist with means to use her craft as a resource and educational tool on the social injustice going on around her.
