As a unification of the AIDS Medical Foundation (AMF) and the National AIDS Research Foundation, amfAR was founded in 1985. amfAR’s dedication is to end the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research. amfAR’s role in achieving success in HIV/AIDS research is a large one, and the organization hosts an exclusive gala every year.
