This phone-charging plant is an environmentally sustainable way to reboot the battery of your smartphone. Based in Barcelona, Bioo Lite is a plant pot that generates electricity from the photosynthesis of plants.

Developed by Spanish startup Arkyne Technologies, Bioo can house any plant or soil and works with any device as long as it has a USB port for charging. The portable technology can recharge your phone two to three times a day with a healthy medium-sized plant and is capable of both night and day electricity production. Its H20 purification system is sealed and water-tight, so your mobile device will be safe from moisture coming from the automatic irrigation. Capable of generating 3 to 40 watts, the phone-charging plant produces electricity exponentially.
