Eternity Puzzle-Inspired Architecture

The Perth Arena is Futuristically Faceted

Sharp and bold, the design of the Perth Arena was inspired by the Eternity puzzle, a game that was marketed as virtually unsolvable. Thankfully, the Perth Arena does not need any solving since it is definitely made up of more than the 209 pieces the original puzzle is comprised of. It is also influenced by one of Perth’s oldest buildings: the twelve-sided Roundhouse in Fremantle.

The Perth Arena was a collaborative effort between ARM Architecture and Cameron Chisholm Nicol. The tiled exterior is made out of ALUCOBOND in custom colour arena blue, cream, black, sparkling white and silver metallic. It's statement-making facade reflects its role a premier venue for large-scale sport and entertainment events. The designers gave the Perth Arena a look of extreme variability.
