Cycle-Powered Energy Sources

The Peoples Power Papvillion by Michael Jantzen is Charged by Bikes

The Peoples Power Papvillion by Michael Jantzen is designed to act as a gathering spot for individuals to come and discuss the future of alternative energy as well as putting energy back into the local power grid.

Solar panels and a giant wind turbine that rests on top of the building harnesses power to sustain the structure itself.

A more unique energy source contained within the unit, however, comes from peddling visitors who ride exercise bikes inside the building. The bikes are free to use and activated via smartphone which then links the rider's electricity account to the cycle.

These bikes send energy into the power grid as well as offering the rider a credit off of their own energy bill defendant on the amount of power they generate.
