‘People of Soho’ is a series of photographic portraits of people who live, work and play in central London’s Soho district. Soho is renowned for its vibrant and happening arts, culture and music scenes, and is a unique neighborhood that serves as a meeting point for people of all ethnic backgrounds, lifestyle persuasions and socio-economic statuses. Rich and poor both live in Soho’s residential areas.
Soho’s vibrant character made it a perfect spot for photographer Peter Zelewski to capture photographs of a diverse array of people. Among the people Zelewski photographed was renowned fashion stylist and art director Silvanna Judith.
Many of the ‘People of Soho’ photographs came about after Zelewski approached people randomly on the street and asking them to pose in the middle of one of the district’s many Victorian alleyways and narrow streets.
