'Penelope Poet' Wants to Break the Chain of Poverty

Penelope Poet is not just any jewelry company. By working with a range of vendors including fair trade eco designers, solo artists, non-profits that create job opportunities for poor women, its focus is, essentially, the underdog.

The online shop offers a breadth of designs including stackable rings, turquoise necklaces, dove pendants, cuff bracelets and silver drop earrings.

One of Penelope Poet's newest collections was created in collaboration with Freedom Stones, a non-profit organization working to eradicate human trafficking.

"Today, the organization provides options by providing people in vulnerable trafficking regions to receive an education and the tools they need to be independent," says Penelope Poet Founder and President, Joanne Gouaux, on the non-profit's important work.
