Serious Eats Created a Peanut Brittle Recipe Rendition with Brownies

Serious Eats contributor Elizabeth Barbone took the classic peanut brittle recipe and completely changed it in the likes of a brownie -- a healthier one too. The snack has been dubbed 'Brownie Brittle' and it looks too good to be true.

Barbone boasts that the recipe is extremely easy, gluten-free and can come together in just minutes. All you need to do it stir your needed amount of white-rice flour (or any gluten-free flour), cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda together with two eggs and two tablespoons of oil. However, if you are feeling extra crafty you can mix in other desired ingredients like pieces of nuts, chocolate chips, candies or peppermint.

After you have created your personalized brownie blend, be sure to spread the batter in a thin layer onto a baking pan, so that it actually turns to brittle and not a regular brownie in the oven.
