In an effort to remove the human element from serving alcohol, restaurant Park 112 is implementing an automated wine bar. Park 112's bar will automatically serve wine to patrons who pay with a smartcard. The machine dispenses expertly curated wine to patrons upon receiving payment. Users are given a reloadable wine card equipped with a RFID chip. Upon paying, the user can choose what wine they want from a LCD touch screen. The machine then precisely pours the perfect glass of wine.
Italian dispenser manufacturer Enomatic is developing the self-serve wine bar for Park 112. In order to help patrons enjoy their wine, the restaurant is still employing a sommelier and a mixologist. The staff will provide advice on how to match spirits with food.
