Shape-Shifting Concept Cars

The Paraton-e is Designed for a Futuristic Morning Commute

The Paraton-e is a hybrid motorcycle-car designed by Frederik Dallmeyer. Dallmeyer's design can change its configuration depending on the needs of its driver. The Four-wheeled vehicle can become slim and compact to weave its way through traffic, much like a motorcycle. It can also widen its base (to look more like a car) to provide a more comfortable ride.

When the Paraton-e is in motorcycle mode, the driver's seat is pushed forward; when it's in car mode the driver's seat is reclined. Creating a hybrid vehicle such as the Paraton-e could be a great way to clear road congestion and help clean up pollution. The only knock against Dallmeyer's design is that it can only seat one person. A two-person version or a three-person version would be more likely to gain acceptance by gearheads and eco aficionados.
